The Church.  The Body of Christ.  The hands and feet of Christ in a hurting world.

As the Body of Christ, we are called to reach out as Jesus did—physically, emotionally and spiritually.

World Relief church partnerships offers an opportunity to do just that.  Long term relationships are formed between churches in the United States and churches in Africa, Asia and Latin America.  World Relief church partners join in community transformation—around the world and in their own congregations.

“We work with World Relief because we do not believe the holistic Gospel is optional.  It is necessary to minister to the mind, soul and spirit.  If we have a spiritual intention, then physical ministry must be a part of what we are doing,” says Scott White, the pastor at Lake Avenue Church in California, a World Relief church partner.

Today, your church has access to unprecedented opportunities to access even the most remote parts of the world.  As God’s global body, we can get to know, pray for and visit people in need in every corner of the world.  World Relief makes it possible for us to provide tangible support, long-term strategic planning and effective assistance to our brother and sisters in other parts of the world—and find ourselves transformed in the process.

“Up until now it’s been easy to view the partnership as a one way deal—we give them money, we put on retreats for them, we teach them English.  But this is a partnership, let us learn from our Cambodian brothers and sisters, who know how to pray,” said Darla Lacu, after a ministry trip with her church.  “Let us be encouraged, that though we are weak...we are not in it alone, that even now (for Cambodians like to get up early), there are people across an entire ocean praying for us.  Let us be blessed by the Cambodians.”
